The Institute of Technology and Innovation Management (TIM) at Hamburg University of Technology is focused primarily in the management of technology and innovation, particularly the practical management of the innovation process. Lecture content is founded on new research findings and based on group work, case studies and practical application in the field of innovation management. The Institute’s research is directly focused on innovation processes and new technologies, with the aim of identifying and analysing strategic, organizational, and methodological issues having significant impact on the success of new product development. To achieve this goal, a multidisciplinary approach is taken and this is reflected in the breadth of staff expertise, and relationships with several engineering departments within the university.
